The problem

Inventory loses money in three directions at once, and they are normally reviewed in three different places: a sales report for dead stock, a low-stock alert for stockouts, and a spreadsheet for batch expiry dates.

Reviewing them separately produces the classic mistake — reordering a product that is about to expire. Every conventional forecasting tool says reorder when stock runs low, even when 60% of the current batch will be written off before it sells.

What it does

Marcus is the agent inside the app. He reads sales velocity, supplier lead times and batch expiry dates every day, on every SKU, then works in a loop you control.

  • He watches. Dead stock, forecast stockout dates and expiry risk, on one screen instead of three.
  • He proposes, quantified. Every proposal names the action, the reason and the dollars at stake — "hold this reorder, 199 units would expire unsold, $1,840 of spoilage avoided" — not vague advice.
  • Expiry-aware decisions. Foreshelf cross-references the demand forecast against batch expiry dates and says wait when waiting is the profitable move. Where stock is already at risk it proposes a native Shopify discount code to clear the batch in time.
  • You approve. One click; above your threshold, you type the supplier name to confirm.
  • He executes. Purchase orders created, supplier emails drafted and sent — with a 60-second cancellation window after every approval.
  • Stocky migration. One-click import for merchants leaving Stocky, which shut down on 31 August 2026.

The safeguards are enforced in code, not promised: a per-order dollar ceiling, a rolling daily cap, rate limiting, a data-eligibility rule that declines to act on SKUs without enough history, and a full audit trail. There is no fully autonomous mode by design.

Who it is for

Shopify merchants carrying perishable or dated inventory — cosmetics, supplements and food — typically in the 50 to 500 SKU range, where expiry and cash are both real constraints.
